The Amar Singh Trio is the genre-bending brainchild of bassist and vocalist Amarinder Singh, a Bay Area native whose musical identity is as diverse and vibrant as the region he calls home. Born in Vallejo and raised between Oakland and Berkeley, Amar’s roots are deeply embedded in the cultural mosaic of Northern California—a backdrop that has profoundly shaped his sound and spirit.

Blending jazz fusion, psychedelic space jazz, funk, hip-hop, R&B, and neo-soul with flourishes of Punjabi folk and Bhangra, the Amar Singh Trio doesn’t just play music—they channel it from multiple dimensions. Amarinder's singular approach to bass and vocals bridges worlds, fusing tradition and experimentation in a groove-heavy, mind-expanding experience.

For over a decade, Amar has been a recurring presence at Berkeley’s iconic Tupper & Reed, performing on and off alongside some of the Bay Area’s most respected musicians. The venue has remained a dearly loved and familiar stage over the years, and Amar continues to value the connection.

couchdate is a music/art collective based out of Oakland. Dedicated to an entirely vintage aesthetic, they only use vintage analog gear & play strictly vinyl. Sets typically start with 1970’s Brazilian & international psychedelica, and move into a highly curated array of sounds & genres

murcutian is a Bay Area selector born and raised in San Francisco’s Mission District. Inspired by her love for music, she began her career as a DJ in 2018 in the comfort of her bedroom. Not long after, she took to performing at live events all over California. Through her career, she’s been able to rock crowds at R&B and Ribs, the Cal Academy of Sciences, Exploratorium “After Dark” and San Francisco’s annual Carnaval. 

Currently, you can find her hosting her own party called “Hella Tight” at Blondie’s in San Francisco. She is also the founder and instructor of Her DJ Club  - A Women’s DJ cohort based out of Oakland, CA.

OMR (Omar Jean) is originally from San Diego, California but has spent most of his adult life on the east coast for school, work, etc. This is where it all began, back in 2010, as a college student trying to make extra money, OMR took his obsession with house & EDM and started out as a DJ. With the nomadic lifestyle afforded by his day job in the military, OMR has lived in Korea, Germany, and several states across the country. He attributes his varied palette of house, techno & more from his travels abroad and exposure to all different walks of life all over the country.

OMR’s journey as a music producer began in 2020 while on lockdown during the pandemic. He is an Expansive Academy graduate, having been under the direct mentorship of house music wizard Jon Kong from Leftwing : Kody. OMR is currently under the mentorship of Dirtybird legend Mz Worthy.

OMR has released his first couple tracks in 2023 under smaller labels Phunk Traxx and Wirlix Records. OMR is part of the music collective Sound & Society.
